A DC Firehouse Engagement Session with Rachel + Chris | Virginia Wedding Photographer
This past weekend, Rachel and Chris met with me in the DC area for their engagement session, and we had a blast! She is an ER nurse, and he is a firefighter, so these two work so hard to keep people safe! I think that is so admirable, and I have so much respect for them and their professions! They are puppy-parents to their sweet two-year-old black lab, Lexie, who joined us for some photos during their session!
When they were dating, these two would hang out at the firehouse where he worked. When they told me that they wanted to start there and incorporate a fire truck, I was so excited because I LOVE love love when my couples introduce some type of element, whether it is a favorite location or some type of activity they enjoy together, into their engagement session that really means something to them! I think it is really important to document things like that because they are truly a part of your love story, and an engagement session is the perfect way to tie everything together, so to speak.
I cannot wait for their fall wedding in Hamilton, Virginia at The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards. I know it is going to be such a beautiful day, and I am SO excited to see Rachel in her dress!
Enjoy some of my favorites from their DC firehouse engagement session!
KCCO!
These two were so playful with each other, and I love just now natural they were with each other. It’s as if they have been together for their entire lives!
Oh Rachel!!! You are so GORGEOUS!
I absolutely love the ring that Chris picked out for Rachel! Such a beautiful one! Along with cranberry, navy blue is a part of their wedding colors, and I was so excited to have this sweet little velvet ring box on hand from Weft and Whimsy!
Sweet Lexie! She was SUCH a good girl, and I hope to see her again soon on their wedding day!
